Will be good to get Coleman in the lineup
clean up the penalties (shouldn't be a problem without the Oiler boner refs) and they will be fine.
Flames will be a good 5 on 5 team IMO

Why would Ward deserve a standing ovation or really even a second thought? He didn't get to 70 games as a head coach and was only a part of the organization for a year before that. Gulutzan was also a great guy who didn't have much success in Calgary. Did he get an ovation? |

Should be a interesting game tonight, I would think that Coleman would be in the top 6 since he's making 4.9M per year, but the breadman has definitely earned to be a top 6 player. Maybe this year the Flames can actually roll out at least 3 good lines. |

The last time I caught a regular season game in person -before everything got shut down - Blake Coleman was in town playing for the Devils. I kept thinking “If Treliving can trade Bennett for this guy, he needs to pick up the phone.” He was doing all the corner work for his line. Him on a line with Lucic will be something to watch. Based on last game, Lucic could use a guy on his line to push his tempo.

Sutter said he's easing Coleman into the lineup.
Pairing him with Backlund makes sense considering the latter helped ease Tkachuk into the team successfully. You also have the beasts of the team spread out on the top 3 lines.. Lindholm, Mangiapane, Coleman..

Excited to see what Coleman brings. He could slot in on any of the top 3 lines.
Ideally, he finds some mojo with Monahan. In reality, I think Coleman and Backlund will be a strong pair.
Tkachuk-Lindholm-Mange
JG-SM-Ritchie (Duehr??)
Dubs-Backs-Coleman
Luc-Richardson-Pitlick
I think we will eventually see Mangiapane on the topline. He is much more defensively sound than JG and this also balances out 3 lines. Makes 2 difficult lines to play against and also might give lower competition for JG and SM to play against.
We are a 2nd line RW away from having balanced forward group.
Edit: Not really sure what Pitlick brings....besides grit that is.

Cheers VMM. Where does your name come from? I tried to google it, but besides some articles written for elderly folk not much came up.

I will put the paperwork in.
Just kidding. My god though. Gibson did all of that while nursing an injury. It’s criminal that he plays on a rebuilding team. The Flames will make the playoffs if they play like they have in the first two games. |

So if the ask is Lindholm, Zary/Coronato, a 1st and future 2nd... maybe a Kylington/Valimaki and the Flames know a semi-rebuild needs to happen, so they also seperatly deal Gaudreau and Monahan do the Flames do it to be competitive in a season or so? Or is it too much? And are the fans willing to accept it? |

A long road trip is exactly what's needed to give them the best chance to gel it together. 5 games from now we'll either be talking playoffs or garage sale. |
